The Modern Guitar Trio was formed in 2002 to record Roland Chadwick’s Suite for Guitar Trio Letter From LA for his first album The Revealing.
More original music by Roland Chadwick was forthcoming (including The Wendy House, Three Kisses for Jenny) and with music from the pens of Vincent Lindsay-Clark (Cymmetry, Sonata Melodica) and Roland Gallery (Two Fusion Pieces) the ‘original music’ button was pushed and for better or worse, richer or poorer over the next ten years the name Modern Guitar Trio became synonymous with the new music of three of England’s finest Guitarist/Composers.

The Modern Guitar Trio was formed in 2000 when Roland met Guitarist, Roland Gallery who in turn introduced him to the guitarist/composer Vincent Lindsay Clark. Shortly after they recorded Roland Chadwick's Letter from LA for Guitar trio for Roland's CD; The Revealing. This Suite has since been performed extensively by the Modern Guitar Trio and other trios around the world have played this work all through Europe, the Americas and Australia.
